Supportive & Specialized Care
Palliative Care Center
Comprehensive palliative care delivering pain control, symptom management, and psychosocial support for patients and families coping with serious illness, supported by dedicated inpatient beds.
About this service
The Palliative Care Center at Mersin University Hospital is dedicated to improving quality of life for patients living with serious or advanced illness. Care focuses on effective relief of pain and other distressing symptoms — including nausea, breathlessness, fatigue, and loss of appetite — alongside structured psychosocial support for both patients and their families. Dedicated inpatient palliative beds allow patients who need closer monitoring or intensive symptom control to be cared for in a calm, supportive environment. A multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, psychologists, dietitians, and social workers develops an individualized care plan for each patient. International patients and their relatives receive clear communication and coordinated support throughout their stay.
