About this service
Adult cardiovascular surgery at Mersin University Hospital is performed within a dedicated Heart Center that unites cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and intensive care specialists in a single integrated unit. The surgical program covers the full range of adult heart and vascular operations, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), repair and replacement of the mitral and aortic valves, and surgery of the thoracic aorta such as aneurysm repair and dissection treatment. Modern operating rooms with cardiopulmonary bypass technology and a specialized cardiac intensive care unit support patients through every stage, from preoperative evaluation to structured postoperative recovery. For international patients, treatment plans are coordinated with the cardiology team so that diagnostic workup, surgery, and follow-up can be completed within a single hospital stay whenever possible.
