Perinatal Center
Specialized care for high-risk pregnancies combining maternal-fetal medicine expertise, advanced fetal diagnostics, and immediate neonatal intensive care support under one roof.
About this service
Dedicated to high-risk pregnancies, the Perinatal Center at Mersin University Hospital brings maternal-fetal medicine specialists, obstetricians, and neonatologists together in a single unit. Advanced fetal diagnostics, including detailed anomaly ultrasound, fetal echocardiography, Doppler flow studies, and invasive prenatal testing such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling, allow conditions to be identified and managed before birth. Pregnancies complicated by maternal disease, multiple gestation, fetal growth restriction, or the risk of preterm birth are followed with individualized monitoring plans, and delivery is coordinated with a fully equipped neonatal intensive care unit so newborns needing specialized support receive it immediately. For international patients, the center provides structured evaluation and continuity of care throughout pregnancy, delivery, and the early newborn period.
